Kevin called us and wanted to sell his <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ford_Model_A_%281927%E2%80%9331%29\" title=\"Model A Ford\" target=\"_blank\">1930 Ford Model &#8220;A&#8221;<\/a> which has been in his family for the last thirty two years. It was a brisk but sunny Sunday morning in Los Angeles so I decided to take my trusty <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/BMW_R60\/2\" title=\"BMW R60\/2\" target=\"_blank\">1968 vintage BMW R60\/2<\/a> motorcycle on the 45 mile trip to go see Kevin and the Model A.<\/p>\n<p>When I arrived the gleaming beauty was parked in front of his house and I decided right then and there I was buying this car. It was just a matter of getting it at the right price.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal here at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dennisbuyscars.com\/\" title=\"Dennis Buys Cars\" target=\"_blank\">Dennis Buys Cars<\/a> and our division of <a href=\"Ferraris going for millions\" title=\"Dennis Buys Classic Cars\" target=\"_blank\">Dennis Buys Classics<\/a> to is buy affordable, cool, old cars, trucks and motorcycles, refurbish them and give them new homes.<\/p>\n<p>We all hear about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/autos\/la-fi-hy-70-million-dollar-ferrari-sale-20140814-story.html\" title=\"Ferrari Millions\" target=\"_blank\">Ferraris going for millions<\/a> at the prestige auctions but that is not what the average guy can afford. We go after the affordable classics that are more within reach financially. This Model A is the perfect example. It&#8217;s a super cool classic car that is a great investment and won&#8217;t break the bank. Plus it&#8217;s super fun to drive and gets &#8220;thumbs up&#8221; whenever you blast the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Dqc6yRIHiW0\" title=\"Ahooga Horn\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Ahhhoooogahh&#8221; horn!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We have Mustangs, Camaros, Corvettes, old Caddies, even a occasional Rolls Royce! Over the years virtually every car has come through our gates on Venice Boulevard. <\/p>\n<p>We have developed great web presence over the years so if someone types in &#8220;Sell My Classic Car&#8221; or &#8220;Sell My Antique Car&#8221; or &#8220;Classic Car Value&#8221; our website is usually on the front page.<\/p>\n<p>Dennis: So Kevin, tell us about this car that you\u2019re selling today<\/p>\n<p>Kevin: 1930 Model \u201cA\u201d, original condition. It\u2019s got the 4 banger in it. It\u2019s got a manifold high compression head, a new pump uh it was restored 32 years ago by my moms husband.<\/p>\n<p>Dennis: Wow. So it\u2019s been in your family all these years!<\/p>\n<p>Kevin: Yeah<\/p>\n<p>Dennis: And I drove this car for a minute around the block and it really seems like it runs well. So what have you done to this car to make it seem like it\u2019s got a little more power?<\/p>\n<p>Kevin: Just the high compression head and it\u2019s got the\u2026which you didn\u2019t experience, it\u2019s got the overdrive on the transmission. So pretty much the only thing I\u2019ve done to it is the high compression head and a new water pump since I\u2019ve owned it.<\/p>\n<p>Dennis: Great.
